Why I Started Uttermost Travel

In the Christian space, travel is often centered on one destination. Many grow up believing Israel is the only place where biblical history or spiritual depth can be experienced.

But everything shifted when I traveled to Jordan on a group trip. I was amazed by how much Bible history lived in its landscapes. Years later, during one of my Bible studies, I learned about the 7 Revelation churches and realized they are all in modern day Turkey. That moment opened my eyes to how much of the Bible lives beyond the places we usually talk about. It also led me to plan a journey through those cities, which became the very first Uttermost group trip.

As I visited other parts of the world, I felt a real tension: I wanted to enjoy new cultures respectfully, yet I was aware of the boundaries of my faith. It often felt like I had to put God on vacation every time I traveled.

There is a tendency to believe that we cannot experience God in leisure travel. But I knew He could be encountered anywhere.

I created Uttermost Travel to make room for God centered journeys in every corner of the world. Trips that welcome culture and beauty while keeping your faith secure and alive.
